At SAFE, we have a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to supporting children with autism. Our team is comprised of experts in the field of autism, including behavioral therapists, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists. We work together to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for our students, and we are passionate about helping them thrive.

Padmini Koch
(President)
An educator, very ardent about working with kids. She was working as an assistant professor in Sibsagar Commerce College before quitting her job to build a proper structure to the children under Autism Spectrum.
Previously she had worked with Pakshalika Preparatory School, Euro School and Pakshalika High in Sibsagar, Assam.
She has done her MCom with specialization in Accountancy and has cleared National Eligibility Test. She has a number publications in national and international journals. She is a Chair of International organization IGC for Autism and Youth Development and has several publications in the international magazine Ishkama Global Change. She is very passionate about teaching and thus completed her diploma in elementary education and currently she is pursuing her PhD from University of Science and Technology Meghalaya. She has completed a course on Autism Spectrum Disorder in Early Childhood, Autism Training and Currently doing a course on inclusive Education Systems and Behvioural Implications.
Through her relentless pursuit of knowledge, remarkable achievements, and unwavering commitment to personal and professional development, Padmini is poised to make a lasting impact on the world and leave a legacy that inspires others to unlock their full potential.

Aviskha Baruah
Secretary( Trustee)
A dedicated professional who has devoted her life to working for the betterment of women and children. Working as an educator in higher education and as a research scholar in Gauhati University. Her education and professional experience are a testament to her commitment to social justice.
Aviskha completed her graduation in Political Science from Delhi University. Her interest in social issues prompted her to pursue a Masters in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences makes her a well-rounded individual with in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of social sciences and anthropology.
Following her passion for social welfare, she worked with UTSAH, a child rights NGO, where she gained hands-on experience in working with children. Her work at the NGO focused on women and children, and she was involved in several initiatives to help underprivileged communities.
She has two publications under UGC care. Her publications highlight her ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible form. She has a deep understanding of social issues and has translated these findings into her writing to help people understand the importance of social welfare.
Currently, Aviskha is pursuing her PhD in Women’s studies from Gauhati University. Her research will further explore the challenges faced by women and children in society and ways to overcome them. She is committed to improving the quality of life for children and is determined to make a difference through her academic research.
She is currently undertaking a professional course in occupational therapy for autistic children for special education. Her passion for helping the needy and underprivileged has not diminished, and she continues to dedicate her time and energy towards it.

Minakshi Koch
(Founder/Advisor)
Passionate about autism awareness and inclusion, she has active role in forming and guiding the SAFE team. She aims at making this a model project for others to adapt and bring a much needed change into the lives of autism families.
She is the Ishkama Global Chair for Counseling and Autism Awareness. She is the Vice CEO of Ishkama Ltd and Ishkama Global CIC. The Chief Editor of Ishkama Global Change( IGC) Magazine seeking new and interesting subjects to review and publish.
Focused at bringing a change into the lives of women and children in lesser developed countries by creating a platform to reach them and make their lives better by approaching various organizations.
She has worked previously in Biochemistry, researching on topics related to metabolic disorders and autism. Researching and writing articles on the subject to create inclusion and awareness. In the past 11 years of her involvement with Ishkama Ltd, she has helped expand the business and got the company appreciation and recognition . She has more than 10 scientific publications in National and International journals.

Josephine Lyngdoh

An experienced, enthusiastic and focused teacher who is committed in safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of children with special needs at all time. She is passionate about giving children with special needs the best possible education they deserve and enjoy working in a busy environment and relishes the challenges of managing a diverse workload. She is someone who is fundamentally committed to good practices and who is a team player. Currently she is the Coordinator and Special educator, Mary Rice Centre for Special Education, Shillong. Earlier She was working as a Coordinator, Regional action for Inclusive education and as an assistnant teacher at Catholic Women’s Evening school, Shillong.
She has a special Awards for teacher’s of gool Teachers that award , Education Department. She has a Counselling Certificate from NPL centre of excellence, Manchester, United Kingdom and has also done an intensive curse on Inclusive Education, RAISE-NE, Shillong
